Engineering:  The engineers and technicians at Garcia & Wright utilize CAD and other computer software for survey, design, and project management.   All personnel have electronic mail for the quick transfer of information.  The CAD work is done using Microstation by Bentley. Garcia & Wright maintains a variety of specialized software used for design and analysis of floodplains, boundary computations, storm drainage design, hydraulic modeling, and water distribution systems. 

 

Surveying:  Field data is electronically collected using a Leica Total Station, Leica GPS1200 System, or the Husky FS2 Data Collector.  GPS is used to tie the survey either to state plane  or surface coordinate systems.  Leica Geo Office Software is utilized for data collection, processing, and transfer to Bentley’s Microstation.  All CAD stations in G&W’s local area network run Bentley’s Microstation and utilize Bentley’s Inroads Site Package, and Carlson Survey to complete the survey process.    

 

Administrative:  The administrative staff utilizes Microsoft Office, and Word Perfect for spreadsheets and word processing.  Deltek’s Vision Software is utilized for accounting.

 

Plotting / Printing:  For drawing production, Garcia &Wright utilizes HP Designjet plotters, and HP Lasterjet printers to support our administrative, engineering, and CAD operations.
